Capital City Housing is excited to host the CCH Little Star Creative Arts Contest, open to all children (ages 4–18) living in our developments. This fun and inspiring competition gives our young tenants the chance to showcase their creativity – and stand a chance to win exciting prizes!
Competition categories and details:
1. Drawing contest – 4 to 11 years
• Topic: My home, my family.
• Draw a picture of your home and family. Be creative.
2. Essay Contest – 12 to 18 years
• Topic: “The magical door in my home…”
One day you discover a secret door in your home. Where does it lead? What adventures do you have?
• Essay must be a minimum of 150 words.
Competition rules
1. All entries must be submitted via WhatsApp on 065 526 9622.
2. Submit a clear picture or PDF of the entry:
a. Drawings must be done on A4 paper using any medium (crayons, paint, pencils, markers, etc.).
b. Essays may be handwritten or typed and must be clearly legible.
c. Please include your child’s full name, age, and unit number on the entry itself or in the message when submitting the photo/PDF.
3. How to enter:
a. Send a message “Hi” to our WhatsApp number 065 526 9622
b. Select “I am a current tenant”
c. Follow the prompts and provide your name, unit number, email address and phone number.
d. Select “Competition” on the main menu
e. Submit your child’s drawing / essay entry.
4. One entry per child.
5. Judging criteria: Creativity, originality, and relevance to the topic.
6. Competition closes on 28 November 2025, at 4:00pm.
7. Winners will be announced on 5 December 2025 on our social media platforms.
8. Parents/guardians will be contacted via WhatsApp/Email.
9. One winner will be selected per category, from each development. Each winner will receive a prize worth R500.
Terms and conditions
1. Competition is open to all children of legal CCH tenants
2. Winners will be selected by CCH judges.
3. All decisions are final.
4. Winners must collect prizes in person from our office at 41 Peter Kerchhoff Street, on 11 and 12 December and agree to have photos taken for social media/ newsletters. Collection times will be confirmed with parent/guardian of the winner.
5. Prizes cannot be transferred or redeemed for cash.
6. Capital City Housing reserves the right to amend or cancel the competition at any time.
