We have hosted successful fun days at Signal Hill and Acacia Park. The Fun Days are designed to help staff of Capital City Housing to meet with the tenants, through fun activities for the whole family. In addition, the spirit of friendly competition and camaraderie ensure that there is a palpable sense of community, and that this sense of community is built upon throughout the rest of the year.
In addition to the fun sports activities, last year saw an addition to the Fun Day program – a talent show. The talent show was an amazing success, and was quite a hit with the kids and parents alike.
We are grateful for the parents who support the Fun Days, and for the staff who volunteer their time on the weekends to ensure that community development is not just an empty promise to the tenants.
